Getting started is the bane of a lot of people. Mention assignment and you almost want to duck for cover..right? Well things don't need to be so hard if you have the technique for making things simple.


You may find that starting to write a piece is very difficult because you have not used my study skills guide. I gathered ideas during my teaching years and created a guide to getting started and achieving your study goals.

Since writing the guide I find I have discovered blogging and so quite often I'm starting with a blank page and wondering how to start. My advantage is that I always have something to say. I guess I am getting swamped continuously byt new information and that helps me throw more ideas on the page.

If you do then you will find starting is a lot easier because there are always ideas buzzing around in your head. Start by writing these down - may be something you write will spark more ideas that you can talk about.

Now when you hit a road block you should ask a question. Questions are very handy because they help you focus your energy on an issue. Now you can try to find the answer to your question.
