Persistence
Why am I so well qualified to talk about persistence?
I know that during my life I've come face to face with failure so many times. My time at school was not that happy, nor successful. I was slow to learn and had many barriers to jump over, but I had my smartness as well.
One thing I continuously did was not to accept barriers. Even when I was about to be transferred to an easier maths class I pleaded my case and asked the decision not go ahead - I would try harder!
Even though I was not very popular and introverted I started a band with a group of friends and started doing gigs.
Much later, I took off and started my travels alone..a big step for someone who had not really travelled much. Somehow I assumed "I could do it". This has been a theme in my life.
I wrote a book - I just assumed I had something valuable to share and there was no reason why I couldn't do it!
During my early years as a trader, I lost $700 000 in trades gone bad. I made it and lost it! I resigned from my job and lived off trading until I suffered a major drawdown in my trading career.
Each time I persisted...I carried on...I picked myself up...gave myself a reprimand and carried on with the next chapter.
Now what is it that you can't do?
What makes you so different? The chances are your problem has a solution - it's just that you've got something you don't know how to tackle right now, but it doesn't mean you can't LIVE YOUR DREAMS.
